Week by Week: Week 8

Finally getting caught up!

Bump is definitely visible to me. I traveled to Florida last week for a conference, and was shocked that some of my summer jeans did not fit anymore! I also wore my bikini to the pool there and looked like I had a little beer belly. It definitely doesn't look like a bump to others (I don't think), just like I'm put on a few winter pounds :)  Still on the antibiotic eye drops, but hopefully only for a couple of more days!

Baby is the size of a kidney bean or a raspberry

How Far Along?  8 weeks! 

Maternity Clothes? Still no, but I am not able to wear all of my regular pants!

Weight Gain? I still don't think I've gained any weight, but my weight has been fluctuating +/- 1-2 pounds

Stretch Marks? No! 

Sleep? Good! The conference had long hours, and lots of walking, and kind of wiped me out! I've been trying to go to bed at 9:30 each night, which has been very nice.

Best Moment of the Week?  Taking a picture with Baby and Mickey! And then joyously returning home to my husband. Also, Julian's comments on facebook with the number 2 (i.e. love u 2) as a hidden clue towards others. hehe

Movement? Nope.

Gender? No idea! We have been talking about if we have a preference, and neither of us seem to have one. 

What I miss? Still not telling people. We thought we could move our appointment to 2/14, but found out today the earliest we can have our appointment in 2/21. I am praying that we will be able to hear the heartbeat next week, so that we can finally tell people!!

Symptoms: Hunger, food aversions, sleepiness. I haven't been as nauseous, and I have had different cravings and food aversions. I am a little picky now, and I feel like I'm eating a LOT. For breakfast I had a big bowl of oatmeal, eggs, half a bagel, and a bowl of fruit. Normally that would have been way too much but this morning it was perfect. I just had dinner, and am still hungry... thinking of what else I can cook tonight. Maybe some whole wheat banana pancakes, as a Valentine's Surprise for Julian (because I will make them in the shape of hearts, of course!).

What I’m looking forward to? TELLING OUR PARENTS! 

Milestones: Baby is a raspberry :)

Emotions: Happy, and a little disappointed, because we thought we would have our first appointment on Valentines Day. We were so excited, and it sounded just perfect. But I guess we only have to wait a week instead of 2 now....
